INTERIOR DESIGN EXHIBITION

A project commissioned by Miele in collaboration with Consentino and other leading brands in the global architecture and interior design market.
The aim was to create a luxurious yet understated kitchen to showcase Miele’s products.
MARBELLA, España.
The choice of colours was based on the elements I wanted to highlight in the project, namely the Miele appliances. The Pearl Beige colour of the ovens and wine cabinet dictated that the other shades should be earthy tones, ranging from the beige of the Montó paint to gold.
The floor consists of a mosaic of two types of Cevica ceramic tiles, in beige and green.
The architect Helena Rocha has been awarded First Prize for the Use of Light and Colour.
The panelled cladding on the islands and walls features a wavy pattern, with both fine and broad waves, lending a touch of lightness.
The 8-metre-long wall has been fitted with a gold-coloured wavy mirror by Schott, which softens the reflection and helps to create a sense of space in the kitchen.
The Filomestro rug ties the two islands together, creating a sense of unity in this large kitchen. The rug is divided into two sections for easy removal when washing, but appears to be a single piece.
The kitchen appliances have been installed in a rather unusual way; they are sitting on the worktop.
The Main Drop tap, featuring advanced technology, adorns the large Cuartiza worktop by Cosentino.
The sink is a fine example of how we can craft sinks carved from natural stone.
The jury consisted of a select group of architects, including Fran Silvestre, and Isabel, the editor of a leading architecture and interior design magazine.
